TRIBAD (FRA/Paris)

"When an italian lesbian poet meets a french lesbian hip hop singer, a musical project of lesbian expression is born. During their adventure they invite other female musicians to play with them. Mix of électro and love songs, contaminated by différents styles: house / reggae/ hip hop. Their French, English, Italian words come from and go back to the continent where women breack their chains and call up for rebellion. Between love and rage, an emotional story of electro-poetical conspiracy has started."

MIEZE MEDUSA & TENDERBOY (AUT/Vienna)

mieze medusa & tenderboy present their unique version of hiphop:
complex references on 'basslast alltag' interlaced with punchlines. texts on the narrow-minded, on relationships and sex, from politics to party, from sci-fi to everyday life. Supported by reduced soundscapes, deep basslines and dry beats representing the unfunk side of hiphop.

special guest: MadLane: wien-flava, tight rhyme scheme and astounding associations - freestyle madness inclusive

MUSIC FOR ONE (CAN/UK)

a canadian now living in the UK, sherry has played on bills with artists such as Do Make Say Think, agf, and SunnO))) and improvised with the likes of the Shalabi Effect, Pat Thomas, unplugboy, and Urban Myth. her solo guitar playing is imaginative and captivating; inspired guitar melodies mix with electric pops, crackles, and scrapes. the sounds unfold in front of the audience, spilling fragments of the past and future into the moment. it's an emotional music that engages your mind on its way to your heart.

RÄUBERHÖHLE (GER/Berlin)

unce upon a time (let´s say winter 1999) a pretty messy grrrl (let´s say krawall-mädchen) got a synthie from a friend... she was pretty excited, because it was so much fun to kick the sounds out of this crappy thing. so she was hacking on it at day and night... even if her room mates starting to hate her... she was obsessed... and she started to collect more crap that makes noises... around 1 million casios, toy instruments, some stylophones, all this old nerd shit (c64, atari, amiga... you know what i mean?), sequenzer and bloody old drum computers... wow, she spend a lot of money and couldn´t stop... so she was sitting in her untidy east berlin apartment and decided to call herself "räuberhöhle", because she thought that rocks somehow... she started her website and made her music available to everyone who wanted to hear it...

MONOTEKKTONI (GER/Berlin)

Tonia Reeh is one of Berlin music's shining figures. with a soothing regularity she confronts us with stirringly enchanting and at the same time unsettling and demanding music. as a part of Das Zuckende Vakuum, a piano soloist or - right now - as Monotekktoni. she strives to balance it all: chaos, melody, a cluttered playroom, the cold shoulder, love, noise, beats and antibeats, sense, nonsense, sensuality, mathematics, big balls. she always is the untiring jack-of-all-trades, the intriguess and the kindheartedness. in one.

KEVIN BLECHDOM (USA/GER)

is Kristin Erickson, who recently moved back home to Tallahassee, Florida after 5 busy years in San Francisco. While in the San Francisco area, she attended Mills College, founded a band called BLECTUM FROM BLECHDOM, toured the world playing music, and released records on tigerbeat6, deluxe, orthlorng musork, shimmy disc, four states fair, unbearable, dial(), and phthalo. Kevin plays two laptops, a red strap-on MIDI keyboard, a red banjo, and sings songs. “Bitches Without Britches” is her first full-length computer/pop record and her debut on Chicks On Speed Records, and finds her once again in a malladjusted world of wilted flowery computer pop, banjo- songwriting, weird noises and explicit lyrics.

YUMI YUMI (JAP/UK)

yumi yumi - female japanese punk electro pop duo.

two girls from kumamoto city in japan, kaori tsuchida (guitar, vocals, programming) and yumi okamura (bass guitar, vocals) were in london on an extended holiday. fortunately for us they decided to bring their guitars and, "to satisfy a dream", play a few london venues. the reception was overwhelming.
during a ten months trip back home, fuelled by growing confidence, they won two national competitions and have been played and interviewed extensively on national radio in japan......practically stars!!
take the chance to see them live!

PUSH-UPS (GER/Bielefeld)

queer*transgender*lesbian*multisexual*riotskapunk

the push-ups are a queere band project that started playing punk-ska 1 1/2 year ago and since that fortunately not just in bielefeld anymore. during their performances they don't always take care of their instruments - guitar, bass, drums, trumpet and violin. topic of their lyrics are norms and control, which examine people not just in a sexually way. they're so blatant!

SV DAMENKRAFT (AUT/Vienna)

you think you know everything about bands, music and performing on stage?
that you have seen it all? press pause and think again. here come the sv damenkraft! their keyword: "we are not a rehearsing band." which does not mean they are not serious in what they are doing, mind you. the particularity of this band is that they meet before a gig and they set up a
show, using each other's art, and presenting some recurrent elements of course, but the whole show is unique, the result of individual experiences, artistic works, prepectives, all meeting in one group. the environment is
also a major factor in the elaboration process (oslo got its KlasseKampen special song). however this is not only specificity of the band. all four being artists in different domains, they explode the restraining boundaries
of art, creating a space of mixed (but not confused) arts, videos, songs turning into spoken words from time to time, DIY choreography, guitar, bass, cd-players, samplers....
don't miss the sv damenkraft!

LORENA & THE BOBBITS (GER/Berlin)

-founded in february 2001- proceeded straight and without detour to the peak of their genre in berlin: greaser-punk.
with a blend of 60ies garage, country and punk, dirty, noisy and played with a lot of energy, they do not only rock the punkrock faction of the berlin lesbianscene. in rock ‘n roll clubs as the berlin “Wild at heart” they regualarly leave behind weeping men and brokenhearted women. at almost every un- and well-known location in town they have been performing, amongst them some exquisite gigs, as the “Queer-Fest 2000” in Warsaw and the german “Festival of Sixties Garage& Psychedelic Music” in Hannover. now, time to take a step beyond the own boarder, to wherever the self-implemented crown needs defence, ‘coz there can never be enough rock !!

MASS KOTKI (PL/Warsaw)

as about us we call our style electro punk mixed with pop and new wave. our instrumentarium is drum machine, synth and bass guitar. our shows are little performances since we liked to dress as different role models for women: princesses, busines women, whores, brides... our lyrics are about gender stereotypes, or we lough at bad, sexist pornography, or we lough of bands like tatu - who try to be provocative to stay in show biz. now we are working on vizualization for our show, which i hope will be ready for Valpurgia Night.

AMTRAK (GER/Hamburg)

electro-no wave-sciencefiction-punk with fantastic female vocals and lot of great elektro-keyboard-computer sounds from Hamburg. they released their first 7inch “s/t” on narshardaa records at the end of 2003 and describe themselves as kajal core/cosmetic wave. some of the band members also play music in Brustkrebs, Karl-Heinz and Tschilp. godess bless the 80s-revival!

PANTSKIRT (AUT/Vienna)

critics compare Pantskirt with the sound of (the old) PJ Harvey, not just because of the voice of singer Raketa. the band describes its music as authentic rock, combined with indie-pop and punk elements getting even harsher. songs and lyrics are mostly written by ms. prammer and raketa, whereas bass singer satenikia from armenia contributes oriental sounding basslines and spanish revolutionary paroles. together with their new drummer cathi they’re working on new video called “running away is not the kick”.
