Virtual world and private sphere– secure communication and encoding

The aim of the workshop is to give an overview about the most important fields of problems concerning computer security. The course is thought for women, who don`t have the pleasure and/ or time, to fight through heaps of computer magazines, web-sites and documentations, that are difficult to understand; women that nevertheless wish to communicate in safe ways and as far as possible secure the data on their computer from unauthorized access by simple means.
Main area: encoding of data: en- and decoding of texts ( f.e. emails), managment of the keys that belong to it, not re- establishable deleting of data or hard disk- spheres, encoding of data on computer storages with PGP disc.

Additional overview: anonymous web surfing, fire walls, anti-virus software
